Our sustainability message

We’re recycling more and you should too

As a conscious company, we use recycled fibre wherever we can. So, rather than creating new virgin fibres, we’re changing our manufacturing process from a linear to a circular approach, where waste and pollution are designed out. This means materials are kept in use for as long as possible, allowing natural systems to regenerate.

We’re huge fans of rPET – a material made using recycled PET plastic, generating 79% fewer carbon emissions than producing virgin polyester. We are currently working with recycled wool, nylon and polyester. Our fabric mills are certified to the Global Recycled Standard, allowing us to be transparent about the recycled status.

How can we be better?
We are continually looking for ways we can improve, to have a positive impact on the planet and its people. At the moment, we’re looking at how we can certify Thought with the GRS (Global Recycled Standard), which would allow us to certify more than just our fabrics.
What can you do?
We can all do our bit to work towards creating a circular economy at home. Small, conscious decisions can have a huge impact on the future of our planet. A really easy one is to wash recycled products inside a GuppyFriend washing bag. This prevents microplastics in the clothing from entering the ecosystem.
